Thousands of people die each year due to a very treatable heart condition—Aortic stenosis (AS). Survival rates without treatment are low, 50% at two years. And to make it worse, six in 10 patients do not recognize the symptoms of heart valve disease and were only diagnosed after going to their doctor for a regular check-up. We wanted to make heart valve disease, including AS, so well-known that everyone aged 65 or older asks about the health of their heartbeat. So we created a campaign that encouraged people to listen to their heart.
